Dear Delegates,

A warm welcome to the International Court of Justice at the Duke University Model United Nations Conference 2018. I am Chirag Bellani and I will have the great honor of serving as President of the ICJ this year. Engaging in debate has always been my forte and public speaking has been a passion of mine throughout high school in Hong Kong and now in college. I have had the privilege of speaking and adjudicating at various International and National Parliamentary Debating competitions and MUN conferences. I take each event as an opportunity to meet people and learn something new.

In the academic scene, I am currently a freshman at Duke. I am Pre-Med and plan to be a double major in Biology and Public Policy. I intend to eventually go to medical school and become a surgeon, but for now I look forward to seeing you all and hope that you're all as excited as I am!
